Director General's Message
Shri. Rajeev Kumar Sharma, IPS
Director General, BPR&D, New Delhi.
I congratulate Central Detective Training Institute (CDTI) Hyderabad, one of India's oldest and premier training institutes established in the year 1964 under the aegis of BPR&D, for launching its updated website. This website will carry information about the activities carried out in the institution along with relevant links.
The objective of CDTI Hyderabad is to impart training to in-service police personnel of the rank of Sub-Inspectors to Dy.SsP in order to enhance their investigative skills. With the launch of this official website, the Institute's numerous capacity-building initiatives will become more visible and more easily accessible.
Since BPR&D designated Central Detective Training Institute in Hyderabad as a Centre of Excellence for "Police Information Technology & Cyber Crime" in 2017, more than 70% of courses pertaining to the investigation of cybercrime are being conducted at this Institute.
To improve police officers' investigative abilities in the area of cybercrimes, the "National Cyber Research, Innovation and Capacity Building Centre (NCRI&CB)" under the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), MHA,was established at CDTI, Hyderabad. I have no doubt that the training provided by the NCRI&CB Centre will offer law enforcement authorities a great deal of confidence and success in their pursuit of cybercrime cases.
CDTI, Hyderabad is continuously striving to improving the course contents and make the training courses trainee-friendly.I am confident that the new website will go a long way towards achieving the ultimate goal of providing high-quality training to police officers and other stakeholders.
I wish Director, CDTI, Hyderabad and staff members the very best in all their future endeavours.
